Random Name Draw

What is it?

This is a Random Name Draw Generator: you input a list of names and a number of persons to pick and it will randomly pick the desired number of persons from the list.

How to use?

Firstly, you need to input the list of names that will constitute your list to draw from. Then, you need to select the number of persons that you want to pick. Finally, click on Start Draw and the selected persons will be displayed at the top of the page. If you want to activate the possibility to redraw the same person more than once, you have the 'Possible to re-draw same person' checkbox to activate.

How to input the list of names?

To input the list of names, you can:

1. Input the list of persons one by one using the 'Input Name' Field. To do that, just input name in the field and Press Enter Key or . Repeat the operation until all names are input.
2. Simply copy paste a list from an Excel file, a Text File or other sources to directly populate the list of names. To do so, Click on and a large text box will appear. Just paste your list of names in the large text box (accepted separators for the list: New Line or Tabulation or , or ; ). Finally, press to add all the names to the list. Those names will be added on top of the ones that were already there before.

If you want to delete all names in the list, use the Clear All Button. You can also delete an individual name of the list by using next to the name you want to remove.

If you want to generate new draw with same parameters, you can do so by re-clicking on Start Draw or .

What can it be used for?

The Random Name Picker can be used each time you want to randomly draw items from a list. It can be used for example for randomly selecting a person to do a task, a person to start in a board game party or a student to reply to a question. But you can also input non name items in the list and for example randomly choose a Holiday destination, an order in which you will do tasks...
